Early Morning Paddle
I kayaked on Salmon Lake early this morning. It was only 10 degrees and when I started there was mist rising from the warm water. The lake was glassy calm.... a beautiful time to be on the water.

9/11 Memorial Lights NYC

9/11 Memorial LIghts - New York City and Brooklyn Bridge
***Dedicated to the almost 3,000 victims... We will never forget!
I miss New York so much now that I've moved back to Florida. I wish I was there to see the 9/11 memorial lights again this year in person. The best I can do is post some from last year that were never shared.

I like the sky and reflections, but not sure if the left side adds anything - apart from the one guy looking at the rising sun, but it's very dark and hard to make out. Anyway, opinions on 'to crop or not to crop' will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.


Auroras over the Cross
This cross stands by the old road to Bolungarvík. The road has always been risky due to rockslides and avalanches and a number of people have died there over the years. This cross was put up when the road was formally opened in 1950 as a memorial and sign of protection for those passing by.
The road was replaced by a tunnel through the mountains last year so it's no longer in use. It is still passable but caution must be taken due to rocks on the road.
